Proposal Builder
Bsynced CRM includes a built-in proposal builder that lets you create professional, branded proposals from your product catalogue and send them to clients for review and e-signature.
Add-on required
Proposals require the Proposals add-on to be enabled in the Marketplace.
Creating a Proposal
You can create a proposal from two places:
- Inside a deal — open the deal, go to the Proposals tab, and click + New Proposal.
- From the Documents module — go to Documents in the sidebar and click + New Proposal.
Proposal Details
- Enter a proposal title.
- Select or create the recipient contact.
- Set an expiry date — after this date the proposal link shows as expired.
- Choose a currency for pricing.
Adding Products and Services
- Click + Add Line Item.
- Search your product catalogue for an existing product or service.
- Alternatively, enter a custom line item with a name, description, unit price, and quantity.
- The proposal automatically calculates subtotals, tax (if applicable), and the total.
Editing the Proposal Content
The proposal editor provides sections you can freely edit:
- Cover page — company logo, proposal title, client name, date
- Introduction — a personalised opening message
- Scope of work — description of what you are delivering
- Pricing table — auto-generated from line items
- Terms and conditions — paste your standard terms
- Signature block — where the client signs
Use the rich text editor in each section. Formatting options include headings, bullet lists, tables, images, and custom colours.
Preview
Click Preview to see the proposal exactly as the client will see it — rendered as a clean, branded document.
Saving and Sending
- Click Save as Draft to save without sending.
- When ready, click Send for Signature.
- A unique, trackable proposal link is generated.
- An email is sent to the recipient with the link embedded. You can customise the email message before sending.
Proposal Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Created but not yet sent |
| Sent | Link sent to the recipient |
| Viewed | Recipient opened the proposal link |
| Accepted | Recipient signed and accepted |
| Declined | Recipient declined the proposal |
| Expired | Expiry date passed without a response |
Tracking Activity
Inside the proposal record, the Activity log shows:
- When the proposal was sent
- Every time the recipient opened the link (with timestamp and approximate location)
- When they accepted or declined
You receive an in-app notification and email alert when a proposal is viewed, accepted, or declined.
Deal stage automation
When a proposal is accepted, you can configure an automation rule to automatically move the linked deal to a "Proposal Accepted" stage. Set this up in Automation → Sequences → Triggers.
Duplicating a Proposal
Open an existing proposal and click Duplicate. A new draft proposal is created with all the same content, line items, and formatting. Useful for creating similar proposals for different clients.
